St. Rose of Lima Parish Carnival 2019

St. Rose of Lima hosts a parish carnival every June on the school grounds. This annual event has rides, games, entertainment, food, desserts, a book sale, and much, much more!

The event is open to the entire community, and is attended by people throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties. The carnival is a great event for the whole family, and we encourage you to join us!

History,

The exact origins of our carnival seem to be lost in the sands of time but longtime parishioners recall that it began in the 1940’s as a church barbecue at a local park and eventually games were added. With the acquisition of our present church site in the 1960’s the carnival found a permanent home and more space to add rides, more food and entertainment.

Our summer carnival has become one of the largest community events in   Simi Valley. Today we attract tens of thousands residents, neighbors and friends. We provide a safe, low cost, fun-filled, family atmosphere for adults, teens and children to enjoy a lazy summer evening, thrilling rides, games,
live entertainment, beer garden, world famous sweet tooth booth, used book sale and a wide variety of favorite carnival food, including our famous Lemos family carnitas. The proceeds from this event benefit our K-8 school and the 40+ church ministries, many of which serve the homeless, hungry and

addicted in our own community.
