Curriculum Overview

At St. Rose of Lima Elementary & Middle School, our goal is to help develop individuals who demonstrate great character and great competence in all areas of their lives, especially in service to their parish, local, and/or global communities.

We encourage our students actively and joyfully bring faith to life and life to faith to achieve the school’s mission, “Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve.”

St. Rose of Lima School offers a challenging, comprehensive, and relevant curriculum that equips our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully negotiate their future.

The curriculum, which follows State and Archdiocesan standards on every level and in every subject area, is inspired by and infused with the SLEs. Students are made aware of the particular SLEs being addressed. We work to prepare our students for global citizenship with a continuous focus on character development, using Jesus as our model.  Throughout daily classes, activities help our students understand and acquire the habits of mind that develop integrity, responsibility, initiative, and perseverance.

To help our students succeed in today’s complex global community, we include and integrate the knowledge and skills associated with information, media, and technology. We work diligently to incorporate these new areas of learning into the core content areas as we build on the longstanding Catholic tradition of academic excellence.
