Spiritual Reflections

JCBellaRosa_0059

Each Friday, our students celebrate mass as a community, bringing them closer to each other and to God. This allows students to truly be a part of the service, as each grade gets a chance to host a mass. It also provides special reflection opportunities. We focus on devoting ourselves in a special way to our relationship with God and the healthy and holy life we want to share with each other. This is especially important during the Lenten season. Please join our community mass any Friday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Welcome to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School!

Dear Friends,

Welcome to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. I am extremely pleased to be the principal of this school. As principal, I’m looking forward for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide an outstanding educational experience. We are fortunate to have a strong teaching staff that are well experienced and yet open to new and innovative ideas. We are also fortunate to have supportive parents who play an important role in their child’s education.

Our mission is to nurture students to discover their God-given gifts, to encourage them to use these gifts in the service of others, and to empower them to be models of integrity.  We—parents, school staff, and parish community—collaborate to provide a quality Catholic education based on prayer, stewardship, the Eucharist and Catholic traditions as reflected in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. We encourage our students to reach their full academic, spiritual, emotional, social and physical potential while recognizing each child’s unique strengths and talents, challenging them to achieve their personal best. We look forward to working together with you in helping your child grow toward fulfilling these goals.

This year our academic goals will be to continue the use of formative and summative assessments in determining the needs of our children; to provide direct writing instruction in helping our children become effective communicators; to provide engaging and differentiated instructional strategies; to incorporate technology in teaching and in children’s learning; and to offer many paths by which children can be successful.

I invite you to peruse our website to learn more about the many facets of our school. Then, come to our school for a visit so that you can see for yourself the genuine care that our teachers and staff have for each and every student. Finally, I would like you to know that my door is always open and I welcome your suggestions. Together we make a difference in the lives of our children.

Sincerely,

John P. Sanders
